Public Education

Approximately six times a year each of the Division's Flotillas offers Boating Safely classes to the public

Public Safety
 

Division 3 provides member-owned Operational Facilities for Safety and Regatta Patrols,

such as the Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show held each Spring.

Coast Guard 41' Utility Boat 41448 from Station Ft. Lauderdale passes on the way to a vessel in distress........

        ........and we enjoy both the views of the aircraft and all the floating real estate

Public Affairs

Division 3 provides support to Coast Guard Group Miami's Aids to Navigation Team during an "open house" of the Hillsboro Lighthouse held quarterly by the Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society.   (Top Left): a group of visitors awaits their turn to climb to the top of the 95 year-old lighthouse (Right): after reaching the top, the visitors enjoy the view of the surrounding area (Bottom Left): Phil Johnson, Group Miami ANT, explains the workings of the mechanism to an interested group
